BNRCC PROJECT CLOSURE WORKSHOP
The closure workshop for the BNRCC Project, which began effectively in 2008, was held at the Mirage Hotel, Calabar, on Tuesday 22nd November, 2011.
The workshop brought together 49 select participants, including BNRCC Lead Partners (especially the SCCU of Federal Ministry of Environment), Project Partners (WACDI, UNIUYO, RULIN, WEP, CERCOPAN, COLIN, DIN/ARA, Greenwatch Initiatives, ATBU, UniMaid, CARUDEP and YAOFA), members of RAG, CoAG, PSC, CEA, PPAG, NEST Board, and representatives form CIDA/VSO Nigeria. BNRCC personnel, the Media and other key stakeholder were also present.
The workshop was aimed at achieving the following objectives:
- share comments and consider outcomes and impact of BNRCC project based on participant's experiences and reports;
- discuss the legacy and lessons learned from the project;
- celebrate the efforts (work) of the project and its stakeholders.
Participants, during the break out sessions, came up with a long list of outputs and outcomes, that satisfactorily justified the project objectives, including an even longer list of positive unanticipated outcomes.
