Recent Development on BNRCC

The Project Management Team of BNRCC visited the National Assembly on the 27th of February, 2007 to acquaint the Distinguished Senators with the activities of the BNRCC. The team was able to meet with the Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, Chief (Mrs.) Folashade Bent to seek the support of the Distinguished Senators for BNRCC project. The Distinguished Senator used the opportunity also to brief her audience about a Bill for the establishment of National Climate Change Commission currently going through legislative process in Senate.


Official Launch of BNRCC Project And BNRCC Website

The official launch of BNRCC project came up on the 27th of May, 2008 at Abuja. It was performed by the Honourable Minister for Environment, Housing and Urban Development. The Launch provided a platform to engage more stakeholders to key into the climate change adaptation activities. The occasion was used to present a new Information Booklet, chronicle progress made and expected BNRCC activities in years to come. Also it was an opportunity to officially launch the Project’s website (www.nigeriaclimatechange.org). The event which began from 10 am was held at the Rock View Hotel Wuse 11, Abuja.
